ECUADOR

In Ecuador South America in the mountain town of Cuenca, there is a small church seeking to do God's work.  Among their ministeries is a small clinic that is operational when doctors are available.  In recent for the last two years the clinic has operated when a mission team of doctors and nurses has traveled there and held clinics.  Besides the clinic, the church is hoping to expand their outreach by including medical care for those suffering from terminal diseases.  This will happen only as God's people pray and give of their time and money.

The church continues an active ministry to street children and at times has taken in orphans until they can be placed in a larger orphanage or adopted by an Ecuadorian family.

In November 2009, a small group from Washington State is traveling there to engage in a construction project connected to the church.  The pastor is looking for funds to help with the purchase of materials for the project which will cost approximately $3000.00 (US).  Currently, the Nooksack Valley United Methodist Church has raised 1250.00 towards this project.  In addition, the pastor has asked if it will be possible to acquire a new computer for his ministry.  We are also looking for donations towards the purchase of a new laptop for the pastor.

The Cuenca church has been in ministry for several years starting out as a very small group of individuals who had dedicated themselves to God and to His ministry.  They continue to grow in number but will be greatly aided by our donations and service.  We are looking for families and individuals who would like to spend a few days out of the year providing direct service to this ministry and especially any physicians and nurses who would like the experience of a life time.  Or, if you would like to make a finanical donation toward this growing ministry please contact either Daniel Situka through Sovereign Wings of Hope ministry (sovereignwings@yahoo.com) or Dr. David Small President of Sovereign Wings ministry (davidesmall@comcast.net).
