We are seeking your prayer and financial support for a short term mission trip to Uganda.
Purpose:
- Improve Hospice Jinja’s care to families after patient deaths.
- Explore the feasibility of extending hospice care to Tororo city.
- Train Hospice Jinja staff in childhood hospice care, pain management and the special bereavement needs of families who lose children.
The Team:
Rev. Daniel Situka: (team leader)
Chaplain for VITAS Hospice since 1995. He is the founder of Hospice Jinja in Uganda.
Dr. Denise Turner:
Hospice and Family Doctor in Houston, is the former medical director (2006-2007) at VITAS Hospice Care.
Mr. Ward Turner:
Structural and electrical Engineer with Exxon Mobil.
Rev. Robert Coberly:
Bereavement Manager for VITAS Hospice care. He has served VITAS as a chaplain for 17 years
Trip Date: September 20th to October 4th
Financial Needs:
1. $3,000 balance on tickets and mission project
2. $1500 for medical equipment, supplies and a laptop
3. $500 for the project implementation
